5 Detox Teas For Oozing Out Toxins Before Diwali

We’re in the middle of the festive season and we can’t help but dream about the boxes of sweets and yummy rich food full of dried fruits and nuts that we’re all going to gorge on. Here are some drinks for you to sip on as you’re preparing for the big weekend!

We tried these teas with honey with Honey Twigs, which made these just sweet enough, without killing our healthy vibe by over-sweetening it. These honey single are easy peasy to use on the go and are totally natural, which is why they go perfectly with these teas.

1 Twig = 1 Teaspoon of Honey


Ginger Tea

The Elements:

¼ tsp ginger powder

1 bag green tea

1 Honey Twig

2 cups warm water

Formula:

In a saucepan, warm two cups of water. Pour into cups once it’s at the desired temperature.

Put a tea bag in the cup. Steep for two minutes and remove.

Add the ginger powder and honey. Stir well and drink immediately.

#EatExtra: Never add honey to hot water, honey should always be added to warm beverage for maximum benefit


Turmeric Tea

The Elements:

¼ tsp turmeric powder

¼ tsp ginger powder

1 bag green tea

1 Honey Twig

½ tsp black pepper

2 cups warm water

Formula:

In a saucepan, warm two cups of water. Pour into cups once it’s at the desired temperature.

Put a tea bag in the cup. Steep for two minutes and remove.

Add the turmeric powder, the ginger powder, and pepper powder. Stir well.

Stir in the honey and mix well. Have immediately.


Saffron Green Tea

The Elements:

2 cups water

1 tea bag

1 Honey Twig

Formula:

In a saucepan, warm two cups of water. Pour into cups once it’s at the desired temperature.

Put a tea bag in the cup (We love Dharmsala’s Himalayan Saffron Green Tea). Steep for two minutes and remove.

Add honey and stir well.


Cinnamon Tea

The Elements:

¼ tsp ginger powder

¼ tsp cinnamon powder

1 bag green tea

1 Honey Twig

2 cups warm water

Formula:

In a saucepan, warm two cups of water. Pour into cups once it’s at the desired temperature.

Put a tea bag in the cup. Steep for two minutes and remove.

Add the ginger powder, cinnamon powder, and honey. Stir well and drink immediately.


Ginger Lemon Tea

The Elements:

¼ tsp ginger powder

Juice of ½ lemon

2 cups water

1 tea bag

1 Honey Twig

Formula:

In a saucepan, warm two cups of water. Pour into cups once it’s at the desired temperature.

Put a tea bag in the cup. Steep for two minutes and remove.

Add the ginger powder, lemon juice,  and honey. Stir well.

#EatExtra: Instead of using ginger powder, you can boil the water with a small piece of ginger.
